Travel Information

a) By Air:
There are direct flights to Crete (Herakleio or Chania) from cities of most European countries. There are also many flights every day from Athens to both of the airports in Crete. The flight takes about 45 minutes.
Chania airport is about 70 minutes, Herakleio airport about 90 minutes away from Rethymnon. Transport is provided by taxi or buses. All car rent offices available at the airports. For more information about flights, please contact Aegean Airlines or your agent at your country.
Since many of the flights in summer are fully booked, it is advisable reservations to be made as early as possible.

b) By Sea:
In the summer there are several ferries a day to Crete from Piraeus.
