Call for papers

The Organizing and Scientific Committee invites the submission of abstracts for the scientific programme at the Mediterranean Dental Implant Congress 2008 in Crete, Greece.

Deadline for submission of abstracts: February 15, 2008
Abstracts can be submitted either electronically, followed by a confirming fax copy or by ordinary mail (see below).
All abstracts will be published in the Abstracts Book. Maximum width 12 cm and maximum high 18 cm.
Abstracts should be submitted to the Congress secretariat as soon as possible and must arrive no later than February 15, 2008. Abstracts received after this date will not be considered. The Scientific Committee will notify the authors not later than 31 March 2008. The time allotted and exact date and hour will be indicated. Final acceptance becomes effective only if the registration fee is paid.
Please read the following guidelines thoroughly before preparing your abstract. The Programme Organizing Committee will not consider abstracts that have not been prepared in accordance with these instructions.

1. Electronic submission of abstracts is preferred for the 2008 Congress. The electronic submission MUST be followed by a copy by fax:

Please note that we are unable to receive documents containing images or other non-text objects. E-mail or computer diskettes will NOT be accepted as alternative formats for abstracts submission. Please use 12 point computer font Times New Roman.

Submissions are encouraged in the following formats:

  • Free papers may be submitted any topic concern dental implants. They will be presented in English. An abstract in English with a maximum of 250 words should be submitted before February 15, 2008.
  • Posters (1,25 m high X 1 m width) should be submitted using the provided form for abstracts.
  • Videotape presentations. Alongside the scientific presentations a video programme will be shown. If you want to present a scientific video ,please use the same form as for the abstracts.
  • "Show and Tell" papers are to present a special case, a clinical innovation, a new technique or a "pearl of wisdom". Please use the provided form for abstracts.
